Troy McDonaldSuper Simple Learning

"Inspiring confidence in teachers, parents, and young learners through easy-to-teach, and easy-to-learn educational materials."

In 2005, the teachers of Knock Knock English schools for children in Tokyo, Japan, were having trouble finding learning materials that were both simple and fun enough to engage their young learners. So, they started making their own. Several award-winning CDs later, Super Simple Learning materials are being used in classrooms and homes around the world to help children learn with confidence and a smile.

LaurieLaurie Thain

Laurie was a professional country singer, songwriter and guitarist in Canada for 23 years. After arriving in Japan, eight years ago, however, she has concentrated more on teaching and working on a master’s degree in teaching English to young and very young learners. Her days in the classroom are filled with music and she writes children's songs, presents workshops on how to use music in the classroom and does occasional small live performances. Laurie has a beautiful clear voice and her songs are infectious. We're very excited to have Laurie join us as a vocalist on Super Simple ABCs. She can be heard on Super Simple ABCs - Phonics Fun.
